The Direction of Social Work Management of Social Welfare Centers for the Unemployed Families

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to find out the directions of social works management of social welfare centers for unemployed and their families. 25 social workers from 5 social welfare centers and officers from district office of Y district were interviewed about the works for unemployed and their families, the relations between social welfare center and district office. Based on the results from these interviews and previous studies, the directions of social works management of social welfare centers were suggested; fortified relationships with district office, interactions between social welfare centers and specifications of social works, expected roles of social welfare centers such as the center role of public services, provision of improved counseling services, responding the needs caused by economic crisis.
